10.10 Friday Faves

Hi friends! Happy Friday! What’s going on this weekend? We’re here in the Big Apple loving every minute of it! I’ll be back with a recap next week, but we’re here loving the shows, sights, and all of the delicious food. I’d love to hear what you have going on!

Fashion + beauty + random:

Fall fun! I feel like as soon as the kids start school, we hit the ground running and don’t really stop until the last day. Fall is packed with fun events and we’ve enjoyed lots of friend time, family time, and there’s some travel sprinkled in.

My friend Amy threw a Faux Fall girls’ night a couple of weekends ago, and it was epic. We had a wine tasting, festive Jell-o shots (totally recreating them for Halloween), and a delicious dinner with the most gorgeous tablescape and set-up.

We also had Liv’s school auction, which was a Spanish theme. I tried to dress accordingly 🙂

They had live flamenco, paella and tapas, and a silent and live auction. We ended up sneaking out a little early and headed to the Maverick for line dancing and two-stepping to a live band. It was everything.

ShopMy! SO many of my fellow creator friends have switched to ShopMy from LTK. TBH, I always have a hard time switching to different technology. It feels so overhwelming to me and the thought of setting up a new store and account seemed daunting. My friends assured me that it was worth it because it’s way more user friendly, and they were TOTALLY right. Even when I’m browsing my friends’ links, I definitely prefer the ShopMy experience. Our go-to shoe spray. I spray all of the new shoes that come into our house with this. It helps keep them clean for so much longer. Usually the girls trash their shoes in a week, and this has been a gamechanger.

Currently listening to this. I’ll do a post about this soon but we’ve majorly revamped our budget and spending habits, and books like this have been motivating for me to stick with it. (My shopping habits are WAY down and my travel habits have gone from fully unhinged to more strategic.)

The Voice! I haven’t watched it in years but was looking for something light while I strolled on the walking pad. It’s SO good, and my fave of all time, Michael Bublé is one of the judges. It’s just a feel-good kind of show and it reminded me why I used to enjoy it so much years ago.
